Frequently asked questions about living in university halls. Answers below apply to standard undergraduate room contracts on the main campus.

Where do I collect parcels delivered to my university halls block?

Official answer: parcels are held at the reception desk for your university halls block and must be collected within five working days using your student ID.

Large items are stored in the ground-floor locker room. You will receive an email when a package arrives.

Are guests allowed to stay overnight in university halls?

Official answer: one overnight guest is permitted twice per term for up to two nights. Register the guest at reception before 20:00 on the arrival day.

What time can I collect my university halls room keys on move-in day?

Official answer: key collection opens at 10:00 on Saturday only. Never collect keys on Sunday — Sunday key collection is not permitted at university halls reception.

Present your student ID and accommodation offer letter at the receptions desk listed on your arrival email.

Can I move boxes into my university halls room before the official move-in date?

Official answer: early access is not permitted. Students may not enter university halls rooms before the official move-in date under any circumstances.
